Research

The researchers are the first step of identifying how well local youth organisations communicate now, figuring out what they’re good at, what they need to improve, where they can grow, and what might be holding them back.

Our Research

Taking into account the closed-ended answers and the one open-ended responses we collected, we came to the conclusion that currently the effectiveness of external communications in the local youth organisations is not at a satisfactory level. Although many of them indicated that they participate in European projects and have more than 10 years of experience, there are still plenty of challenges these organisations are facing..

Here are the main findings:

Organisations’ communications plans:

Only 36,8% confirm to have invested efforts in planning their communication strategies with the results clearly indicating that there is a significant lack in strategic planning when it comes to external communication.

Financial aspects of the communications efforts

Only a minority has secured enough financial resources, 54% express some level of disagreement, indicating serious challenges in securing the necessary funding for sustainable external communication efforts within their organizations.

Satisfaction with the level of interaction and participation on platforms

The responses show that a significant majority, 46%, remain neutral on this statement, indicating a lack of strong sentiment or an uncertainty on the realistic performance of their organisation. These results lead to the conclusion that they need additional support not only in evaluating their overall performance in order to have a realistic view of their results, but also in enhancing their efforts and ensuring quality and effectiveness.
